Engineering and Design
We have extensive experience in the fields of engineering and design. Our team of professionals work with a wide range of clients from the commercial and academic sectors, and many of our attorneys have first and second degrees from the engineering disciplines. We have advised individuals, start up companies, universities, university spin offs, SME's and multi nationals in protecting their inventions and developments and in gaining market share in the face of competitor intellectual property.
We have worked in a broad spectrum of technologies within the area, including within the automotive, aeronautic and marine engineering sectors. One of our teams works regularly with companies at the forefront of developments in the automotive industry. We regularly work with companies developing solutions for domestic and commercial engineering problems, from nano engineering to major constructional engineering. We also have particular expertise in the medical products area.
We provide a full spectrum of patent services, including drafting and prosecuting, patent term extensions, advising on clearance through competitor IP and advising on litigation and European Patent Office oppositions. We can carry out due diligence reviews in relation to corporate deals, and work closely with other advisors in this specialist area.
We also advise on protecting the design of a product, and on associated areas such as copyright and design right. We advise on the possible branding of products through our trademark specialists
