Vanessa began in the profession as an examiner for the Swedish Patent Office. Before joining UDL in 2005, Vanessa worked in the Intellectual Property Department in a large city law firm and also completed a Masters degree specialising in Intellectual Property. This included writing a dissertation relating to software patents. Vanessa specialises in electronics patents, particularly in telecommunications and signal processing technology. She is currently studying for the CIPA/EPA qualifying examinations. She is fluent in Swedish, Spanish and French.
