Prior to joining UDL, Jane gained extensive trade mark experience working for a major international law firm in the City of London. She has also worked in-house in Switzerland for a multi-national FMCG corporation and in the United Kingdom for a multi-national alcoholic beverages and QSR company, managing worldwide portfolios of household name marks. Jane also has expertise in dealing with the intellectual property aspects of major corporate transactions, including undertaking due diligence work, as well as in handling contentious issues such as infringement, anti-counterfeiting and domain name disputes. Jane deals with all aspects of trade mark law, including British, Community, Madrid Protocol and international applications and oppositions and currently handles the trade mark work of a wide variety of clients in such diverse sectors as pharmaceuticals, publishing, household products, speciality chemicals, telecommunications and registered charities. She has a particular interest in the law of the Internet as it relates to intellectual property.
