Laurence joined UDL in 2003 after working elsewhere in private practice. He can advise on all aspects of patent and design protection. This includes drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the UK, European and elsewhere. Laurence also has experience in more contentious matters, such as infringement opinions. He has represented clients at a large number of hearings before the European Patent Office and has both filed and defended oppositions to European patents. In the UK, Laurence has experience of proceedings before the IPO, including complex revocation proceedings. Laurence handles subject matter across all fields of engineering and specialises in electronics/electrical engineering and medical devices.
