Entered patent profession in 1982
After qualification, Mark worked in industry for five years at a major consumer products multinational. He spent a year in the USA and gained direct experience dealing with the U.S. Patent Office. Since joining Urquhart-Dykes & Lord he has worked with a number of companies in the chemical industry particularly relating to petroleum and pharmaceutical chemistry. Mark has detailed knowledge of extension of term regulations and filing worldwide. He also works in trade marks and has a large practice before OHIM and the British registry. He has been a Board member since1994 and is currently head of practice development for the firm.
