Before training as a patent attorney, Martin worked for over three years as an examiner at the European Patent Office. Before joining UDL, Martin was a patent attorney in the in-house patent and trade mark practice of a large firm of solicitors. Martin became a partner in 2003 and is responsible for the management of UDL's Newcastle office. Martin has a wide range of experience in non-chemical patent cases, including electronics and mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications, software and electronics. Martin speaks French and German.
