Before joining UDL in 2007, Richard worked for another firm of patent and trade mark attorneys. He deals with all aspects of patent law including national, European and international patent applications and oppositions for a wide variety of clients including international electronics, IT and medical devices companies and SMEs. He is experienced in patent matters relating to electronics and computer implemented inventions. Additionally, he has particular experience of patent matters relating to medical devices and medical methods of treatment acting on behalf of a variety of clients including a major international medical device manufacturer. Prior to entering the patent profession he worked as a communications engineer for a defence research company specialising in secure wireless communications.
