BREXIT - The Effect of Triggering Article 50 on IP Rights

On 29 March 2017, the United Kingdom commenced the Article 50 process for leaving the European Union. What effect does this have on Intellectual Property Rights in the United Kingdom?


The United Kingdom remains part of the European Union for the next two years, and it is very much "Business as Usual". Intellectual Property and Innovation remains a vital and core part of the United Kingdom Government's thoughts, and discussions will take place to ensure that there is a smooth transition of European rights held by businesses and individuals into United Kingdom law.
